VIDEO: Slimline Card featuring NEW RELEASE Ocean Friends - Crafty Stamp Co.

 

Hey all! Happy Wednesday! Today I have another fun card for everyone featuring the NEW RELEASE Ocean Friends 4x6 Clear Stamp Set. I actually created the card last night on a YouTube Live, it was so much fun! I had about

3 hours of sleep so we had a great time laughing. 

 

I love how this turned out. If you went to our retreat last year you would have gotten all the images except for the little crab at the top. I love all of these little images so much, I really couldn't wait until they released. They are so fun to color. 

 

Most of you know that I do not do Copic colored backgrounds for the most part, but this time I felt that I had to do it. I was very excited to do so as well. I started with the sand for Charlie the crab, I used the Rays of the Sun 6x6 Stencil to do even the sun with Copic markers. It does stain the stencil, but as long as you wash it the stencil, the stain will not effect any other inks you decide to use later. 

 

Squiddy and Octo were next, I had an idea to have them on action springs half way through the video, but already had them stamped on my paper. I will have to do a card like that next time. I think it would be fun to have them on action springs so it would look like they were swimming their way up to the surface. I used the Reverse Rays of the Sun 6x6 Stencil with Brilliance White Ink, for these two friends to have a bit of sunlight in the water.

 

Last but not least is Barney, I should have gone a bit lighter on the W7 marker to make him stand out a bit. I didn't realize how dark this was until I took the photo, I could have gone with a W3 or 4 to get him to stand out a bit more, eh next time. I love this little angler fish, they are normally so ugly and scary looking. This is why we decided on the name of Barney for him, you know that if you see one you are in trouble.
