VIDEO & INTERACTIVE CARD: Underwater fun with June 2025 NEW RELEASE - Crafty Stamp Co.

Hey all! Happy Wednesday! Today I have another fun card for everyone featuring the NEW RELEASE Make a Splash Meadow and Ocean Friends 4x6 Clear Stamp Sets, and a few others. I actually made this card a

long time ago, but I had the Rays of the Sun and Reverse Rays of the Sun 6x6 Stencils on a little to low. I wanted to do it again to make it look right. 

 

This card also demonstrates and can show you exactly why I designed the Reverse Rays of the Sun 6x6 Stencil to accompany the Rays of the Sun 6x6 Stencil. Granted Reverse Rays of the Sun only matches one of the 2 stencil set, I think it works very nice and can still use the two from the corner if you wished. 

 

While thinking about how I wanted to incorporate the Rays of the Sun, I really wanted to use glitter to make the card look like the sun was sparkly under the water. Wrapping my head around everything to mask the Rays of the Sun after I had used it on the card to apply the heat stick was just driving me batty honestly. So, that is when the idea came to me to just create another stencil to mask the bits I needed. 

Yes, that is right, a stencil was born simply for this card alone.. haha! Seems pretty silly, but hey I can use this over and over again. 

I also wanted to make this card a light up card. You can't have an angler fish on the card without its little dingle light lighting up now can we? 

I stamped everything down first, masked it all, inked the background, colored with my Copic markers, and finished it off with the Rays of the Sun and Reverse Rays of the Sun 6x6 Stencils.

 

 

While some of these stamps (the shark and turtle) are exclusive images to our 2024 Annual Retreat, you can still get similar images from our At Ease and Best Chums 4x6 Stamp Sets to go with these fun images.
