Traveling with Copic markers

When flying, pens are not usually confiscated. I have flown with my Copics several times. I have placed them in the case you see below. I don't say anything about them, they don't normally ask. One TSA gentleman did say "you must get bored on long flights for so many markers" I simply said, "yes I do". The general public do not know what Copic markers are or that they have alcohol in them.  But, you can still check with your local airports if you have questions or concerns.

If you do not open your markers en-route on the plan, you shouldn't have a problem.

Copic markers are very airtight. If you do open them while on an airplane after you land and before you use them again you will want to rebalance the pressure in the markers you used. You can do this by taking both lids off the maker and setting it flat on your work surface for about 10 seconds. Then you can replace the lids and begin to use them again.

However, avoid bringing inks or air cans in your carry on bags. If you chose to bring an ABS kit with you, put it in your checked baggage.

Here is the tote that I use. I purchased mine on Amazon.
